Free Video Converter
A video converter re-encodes a video into a different file format, size, or quality so it plays where you need it, such as an MP4 for social media or a smaller WebM for a website. This free one converts MP4, MOV, and WebM clips to MP4 or WebM right in your browser, with no upload, account, or watermark.

- 3
Convert the video
Select Convert and watch the progress bar. You can cancel at any time and nothing is saved.
- 4
Download the result
Compare the before and after size, duration, and resolution, preview the converted video, and download it.
Built for repurposing launch clips
Social-ready MP4s
Turn screen recordings and WebM exports into H.264 MP4 files that upload cleanly to X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
Lighter website embeds
Shrink a hero or demo video to 720p WebM so landing pages load faster without a separate video host.
Teasers and cutdowns
Trim the best few seconds of a launch video and remove the audio for autoplaying, muted social previews.
Frequently asked questions
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. The video is decoded, resized, and re-encoded by your own browser, and nothing is sent to Launch Blitz. Closing the tab discards the file.
Which formats can I convert to?
MP4 (H.264) and WebM (VP9 or VP8). The tool checks what your browser can encode and only offers formats it can actually produce. Chrome and Edge usually support both, Firefox supports WebM, and Safari supports MP4.
Why does conversion take as long as the video?
The browser plays the clip and records each frame with its built-in encoder, so conversion runs at playback speed. Trim the clip first to convert only the part you need, and keep the tab visible while it runs.
What are the size and length limits?
Videos up to 500 MB, 10 minutes, and 4K (3840 x 2160) are supported. The source must use a codec your browser can play, so HEVC or ProRes files may need Safari or another converter.
Have clips to promote?
Launch Blitz turns one website URL into a 90-day launch campaign with platform-ready posts, visuals, and a publishing calendar for every clip you convert.
